Quality
Vascular Imaging, Inc. –
The
Best in Vascular Ultrasound Testing!
Since 2000, Quality Vascular Imaging, Inc. has been providing highly accurate non-invasive vascular diagnostic
ultrasound testing. But even more importantly, we offer our patients
and their physicians the highest level of service of any facility.
From scheduling through the testing process, the patient receives not only a quality examination but significant
education about the testing process and vascular disease in general.
Our referring physicians receive the most detailed report provided by any competitor allowing confidence in their
clinical decisions. We are accredited by the Intersocietal
Accreditation Commission for ultrasound testing in Peripheral Arterial, Peripheral Venous, Abdominal Visceral, and
Cerebrovascular. But that is only a small part of the
equation. Why are we so good? Please read more.
Excellence in Personnel:
QVI, Inc. employs several of the most experienced and highly qualified sonographers in the
country. We love our patients and pride ourselves on our
dedication to the field of vascular ultrasound. Coupling these
two qualities, makes us stand out amongst some of the finest vascular laboratories in the USA. We know of no other facility where staffing can compare to our group of
dedicated sonographers. And we do not say this lightly.
Due to our expertise, we routinely train sonographers and physicians from across the country and
around the world. Over the last several years, we have
contracted with numerous commercial companies and device manufacturers to teach other sonographers and/or
perform examinations in clinical trials. Our staff continues to
accept invitations to lecture at almost every major vascular ultrasound meeting held, not only in the United
States of America, but in countries around the world. Just recently, we presented numerous lectures,
including original scientific research, at the 2013 International Union of Phlebology 17th World Meeting
in Boston, MA.
Jean Melendez (White), RVT, RPhS (QVI President) has over 23 years’ experience in the field. She has served on the
Board of Directors of the Society for Vascular Ultrasound (SVU), the Vascular Disease Foundation (VDF), and is
the current chair of the Phlebology examination (RPhS) for Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI). She is
nationally recognized as one of the premier experts in venous disease, one of the few non-physician members of the
American Venous Forum, and is a frequent lecturer throughout the country. She has exceptional insight into
venous disease, the data obtained by ultrasound, and how it impacts the patient, and treatment options available to
the physician. In additional to her athletic prowess (she is an Ironman), Jeannie has many additional talents
including a level of patient care and rapport that makes a true difference in the lives of her patients. She
was recently honored as a Fellow of the Society for Vascular Ultrasound at the 2014 Annual
Conference.
Bill Schroedter, BS, RVT, RPhS, FSVU (Technical Director) has over 30 years’ experience in the field. He is
recognized as an expert in the technical aspects of vascular testing, has authored multiple publications and has
been an invited speaker, nationally and internationally, from teaching physicians in Paris, France to being
the International Keynote Speaker at the Australian Sonographer Association Annual National Conference in
Sydney, Australia. Bill has served on the Society of Vascular Ultrasound Board of Directors, was SVU Vice
President, is past chair of the SVU Government Relations Committee, and has testified at the Florida State
Legislature on the profession of Vascular Technology and as an advocate for quality patient care. He was honored as
a Fellow of SVU in 1998.
Excellence in Research:
For a small independent facility, solely supported by ourselves, Quality Vascular Imaging’s dedication to science
and advancement of the field is unprecedented. We have continually
performed high quality research and have dozens of published articles in peer reviewed scientific
journals. Additionally, we routinely present these findings and other
data as invited speakers at national conferences as well as internationally. We have studied the poorly recognized condition called Popliteal Vein Compression
Syndrome, evaluating its incidence and clinical impact and have accumulated the largest series of patients ever
reported. We are honored and proud to have been awarded the prestigious D.E. Strandness Scientific Award for
Excellence in Research in 2010, 2012, and 2013! This award,
established in 1987 is presented annually to recognize outstanding scientific research in vascular technology.
Our 2013 research project, to be published this summer, we believe to
be a landmark study that challenges a widespread misconception about the cause of a common finding in the lower
extremity venous system.

Excellence in Education:
This work would be of little importance if we did not share our knowledge with others. It is to that end that we make great efforts to educate others.
As noted previously, we are routinely invited to speak at
meetings throughout the US and the world. We are clinical
affiliates with colleges and universities in Oregon, Pennsylvania, and here in Florida and continuously take
students for externships lasting between 6 and 12 months.
Additionally, we have worked with numerous commercial companies performing training for vascular laboratories
who obtain data for their clinical trials. In 2012, we traveled
to Paris, France to educate physicians on ultrasound evaluation of peripheral artery stents. We have also participated in numerous clinical trials for both
interventional devices and medical treatments of vascular disease.
Excellence in Testing:
We invite you to send us your patients! We especially hope you will consider us when faced with the most difficult
and complicated patients. It is these special, complex cases that fuel
our passion and provide additional research opportunities for us. If
you have an idea for a research project you believe we could help with, please contact us. We hope that you will put us to the test.
See the difference in testing and reporting for yourself when your

is performed by one of the experts at QVI.
